# Who we are

OctoPeeps is a community-driven NFT universe on Polygon: a fixed-supply token, an on-chain casino, a Discord boss hunt, ERC-6551 smart wallets with soulbound badges, and the Bocto and Octopin products

**OctoPeeps is a fictional universe of humanoid octopuses.** Just like in the human world, there are superheroes, cartoon characters, musicians and fantastic wars. The main idea of the project is to unite creative people into a cohesive community where **authors, artists, marketers, web3 developers** and **investors** interact to achieve their own and common goals.

**The project has two main goals:**

* popularization of NFTs and development of the web3 community
* support and assistance in promoting other NFT projects

**OctoPeeps is a community-driven project** with a technology-driven community, in love with arts, games and communications, that helps to preserve the environment and investigates blockchain and web3 features. Each OctoPeeps NFT grants access to members-only benefits.

Since 2022 the project has grown well past the art: a token with a permanently fixed supply, an on-chain casino, a Discord boss hunt, smart wallets and soulbound badges, and [products](/products/products.md) used well outside the community - Bocto, Bocto Gate, Bocto VPN and Octopin.

### 🌄 Philosophy, mission, and principles

**Blockchain and NFTs** are fairly new technologies that are still unknown and hard to grasp for most people. **Our mission** is to bring people from different spheres of activity together and create a synergy effect that helps grow this project and the projects of other members of our community. To combine knowledge and experience to build environmentally friendly NFT projects that bring qualitative changes to the world or have aesthetic value.

### 🫂 Our Community

We are building a community of people who are interested in current trends in the web3 world, create their own NFT projects, and help other participants with theirs. They generate and implement ideas, create and collect art, enjoy the web3 world, and play and earn. The community is based on mutual benefit, cooperation and co-creation.
