A record of how it worked and how it was closed. **NFT staking has ended. This page is kept as a record of how it worked.** From launch until 25 September 2026, holders could lock OctoPeeps NFTs to earn $FATH. Rewards were minted from a fixed 100,000,000 cap written into the token contract. In September 2026 that cap was reached, and rather than let the pool run dry mid-claim and leave the last claimers with nothing, the programme was closed in an orderly way. ### How it ended A final snapshot was taken at Polygon block **94,436,051** on 25 September 2026, recording every staker's unclaimed balance across both hard and soft staking. All reward rates were then set to zero, 66 seconds later. Every snapshotted balance was airdropped directly to holders - no claim step, no gas for holders, nobody left behind: * **161 wallets** * **22,507,834.46 $FATH** * One transaction: Shortly afterwards the remaining unminted supply was sent to the burn address and $FATH contract ownership was renounced, making the supply permanently final. See [$FATH](/utilities/fath.md) for details. ### What this means for holders * **Your NFTs are unaffected.** Hard-staked NFTs can be unstaked at any time. Soft-staked NFTs never left your wallet. * **There is nothing left to claim.** Pending rewards read zero because accrual stopped; the balances were paid out by airdrop. * The staking pages show each wallet's snapshot amount and a link to the airdrop transaction: ### Historical reward rates Hard staking, per NFT per day: * OctoPeeps OG - 10 $FATH * Octo Kiddos 2.0 - 13 $FATH * Pixel OctoPeeps Kingdoms - 2 $FATH Soft staking, per NFT per day: * OctoKiddos - 15 $FATH * Octo Kiddos 2.0 - 13 $FATH ### Can I still earn $FATH? Yes, just not by staking. $FATH is still earned through Raid Boss hunts, the on-chain casino, raffles, giveaways and community campaigns. These pay out from the community treasury rather than from new supply.
